What I’m doing with my life

Regional Sales Executive by day, Struggling poet by night

Though I look pretty young, I have just completed my Bachelor’s degree in Business Management/Economics at the University of California, Santa Cruz. I am currently living in the Bay Area, California, working in the next few years to help my parents pay for my younger sibling’s education. After that, my plans will really depend on whether I like my career or not :)

The six things I could never do without

  1. Laughing Out Loud (a sense of humor).
  2. Good Music (the ability to relax).
  3. Loving Friends (companionship).
  4. Life Direction (ambition).
  5. Family Bonds (sense of duty).
  6. Delicious Food (self-respect).

Favorite Quotes:

“When this girl at the museum asked me who I liked better, Monet or Manet, I said, ‘I like mayonnaise.’ She just stared at me, so I said it again, louder. Then she left. I guess she went to try to find some mayonnaise for me.”

“Boys and girls in America have such a sad time together; sophistication demands that they submit to sex immediately without proper preliminary talk. Not courting talk—real straight talk about souls, for life is holy and every moment is precious.”
Jack Kerouac

Every right-minded man has a philosophy of life, whether he knows it or not. Hidden away in his mind are certain governing principles, whether he formulates them in words or not, which govern his life. Surely his ideal ought to be to contribute all that he can, however little it may be, whether of money or service, to human progress.
–John D. Rockefeller, Random Reminiscences of Men and Events

How grand would a poetry have to be to alter the course of your life?

“But it isn’t Easy,” said Pooh to himself… “Because Poetry and Hums aren’t things which you get, they’re things which get you. And all you can do is go where they can find you.”
~The House at Pooh Corner
